lies on the Guanzhong Plain in the south-central part of Shaanxi Province, on a flood plain created by the eight surrounding rivers and streams with the city bordering the northern foot of the Qin Mountains to the south, and the banks of the Wei River to the north. Since the 1980s, as part of inland China's economic growth, especially for the central and northwest regions, the city of Xi'an has re-emerged as a cultural, industrial, political, and educational center of the entire central-northwest region. Xi'an is also home to the Shaanxi Grand Theater, the first international, professional, and comprehensive Performing Arts Complex in Northwest China. The theater provides the public with world-class art experiences and visiting artists with a state-of-the-art performance venue. Comprising twelve&nbsp;Kara&nbsp;per side of the proscenium, and nine at the center, with the arrays, supplemented by four L-Acoustics SB18. Designed to reinforce the low-frequency contour of Kara, the SB18i are also configured in a cardioid configuration, significantly reducing low-frequency energy on stage. Stacked on the ground, on the left and right sides of the stage, are two KS28 for additional low-frequency impact, with three KIVAII deployed as&nbsp;outfill. For coverage on the first few rows of seating, X8 coaxial point sources are deployed along the stage lip. China<\/em>, a popular re-branded version of&nbsp;<em>The Voice<\/em>&nbsp;for China, is based on the original format of&nbsp;<em>The Voice<\/em>&nbsp;of Holland talent show phenomenon that has been successfully franchised into over 30 countries. It begins with a singer entering into blind auditions with a panel of four mentors, leading to a series of public votes - the winner receives a record contract. Much of its impact comes from large, engaged audiences with its pre-recorded studio shows and the epic stadium-based live finals.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:group -->\n\n<!-- wp:group -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-challenge\">The Challenge<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The influence and atmosphere generated by the engaged audience and stadium are vital to the show's success. Since the mentors can only hear and not see the person auditioning, the sound must be clear and exceptional. The final performance is held in an epic stadium, and designing a sound system for this venue's size can be a challenge. The team needed to set up the system in a reasonably short time, and there were many logistical issues to solve. For the finale, the needed PA elements were to withstand anything that the unpredictable Beijing weather could throw at the team, with a long throw of exceptional sound for the massive space.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:group -->\n\n<!-- wp:group -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-solution\">The Solution<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Since the first season of the show, a combination of L-Acoustics sound systems and DiGiCo consoles, supplied by L-Acoustics distributor Rightway Audio Consultants, were used for the studio shows and live finals. In the 2019 season, a drive for constant innovation and offering an exceptional audio experience led to using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.l-isa-immersive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">L-ISA Hyperreal Sound<\/a> technology for the studio shows audiences, with the PA design deploying five central hangs of seven Kara, with two hangs of eight Kara positioned far left and right.
